Elvis is the man who thrust and gyrated his way into the hearts of billions. He literally made women swoon and managed to sweet talk a new girl into his bed nearly every night. Considering Elvis was so successful at getting girls, it’s no surprise that a few kiss and tell stories have emerged about Elvis’ sex life. Apparently, he liked white cotton panties; so much so that he commissioned adult movies where girls were shot wearing white underwear. Other stories have emerged since his death in 1977. Apparently the King of rock and roll also loved finger sucking, nipple tassels and burlesque dancers. Despite Elvis’ kinky ways, his big lips, slick hair and hot moves still impress, making the King of rock and roll a timeless sex icon.

James Dean

James Dean had the eyes, charm and rebellious attitude to become an instant sex icon, and not just amongst the ladies. The brooding young alpha male was popular with both the guys and the girls and although he never revealed his sexual preference he did once reply to an interviewer that “I’m certainly not going through life with one hand tied behind my back”. It’s easy to assume that James Dean is such a huge sex icon because he is the ultimate bad boy, yet his biographer, Donald Spoto, came to a different conclusion. Spoto thinks that we loved James Dean because he was “all things to everyone” and that he was both “Fierce and lovable, wild and gentle, obdurate and pliant, gauche and graceful, straight and gay, artless and calculating”.

Mick Jagger

Every woman knows that feeling of watching a great musician on a stage. There is something irresistible about a man wielding a guitar or crooning into a microphone. Yet Mick Jagger was never just a musician; he had something else that made him overwhelmingly attractive. It may have been his confidence, his talent or his distinctive big lips; either way, he had it. And women flocked to him. Mick Jagger had many notorious sexual escapades with models and actresses and has seven children by four different women. Casanova seems to have become more of a legend than a man. Yet he was real. Giacomo Casanova was an Italian adventurer born in 1725. Although Giacomo had an exciting life – being a Venetian secret agent, an erotic writer and a theatre director – he was always remembered as a promiscuous womaniser. Why we focus on Casanova’s sex life is no surprise though, when you hear that Casanova’s first time was a threesome. He also claimed to have over 200 women beneath his silken sheets. Unlike the other hot men on our sex icons list though, Giacomo Casanova actually ended up behind bars because of his saucy antics after he slept with two nuns. He was imprisoned for five years, but bust out of the Venetian jail after just 15 months.

Brad Pitt

Brad Pitt is indisputably the sex icon of our era. He has made an appearance in every sex symbol poll within the last two decades and was voted the Sexiest Man Alive in 1995 and 2000 by People. Empire magazine also voted him into their list of 25 sexiest film stars of all time. Although it’s fair to say that Brad Pitt’s chiselled jaw and faultless physique helps aid this attention, as with all sex icons there’s something else that makes this movie star so attractive. For one, Brad’s a real brain box. Not only is he a scholar in architecture, he also studied journalism at the University of Missouri. Yet we also love Brad because he’s a fantastic actor and a philanthropist.
