A romantic supernatural thriller in which banker Sam Wheat (Patrick Swayze) is murdered but then returns as a ghost to protect his grief-stricken girlfriend Molly (Demi Moore) and solve his own murder.
Tagline:Before Sam was murdered he told Molly he’d love and protect her forever.
Unable to communicate with his wife, Sam turns to fake medium Oda Mae Brown (Whoopi Goldberg), who finds out that she really does have the power to contact the dead.
This movie is a real tear-jerker, and everyone will probably have already seen the potter’s wheel scene which helped make the Righteous Brothers’ ‘Unchained Melody’ a hit again. There are a few good laughs along the way, too – notably from Goldberg, who won a Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her humorous performance.
