How to get involved in archery

Archery clubs have existed in Britain since the 17th Century. Archery in the UK is still organised around these regional clubs. Clubs provide beginners with courses, coaching and many run their own competitions as well as competing against other clubs. Archery GB is the governing body for archery in the UK.
In the UK a lot of clubs operate ‘have a go’ lessons for around £20 to £30. These will consist of around one to two hours tuition and once you′ve got the basics, you can decide whether you want to sign up for lessons.
If you feel inspired to give archery a try, then Archery GB should be your first port of call. They have a directory of local clubs and they’ll be able to point you in the right direction.
