The extensive slopes of Ischgl in Austria provide a great skiing resort to families, beginner skiers and more advanced competitors. Ischgl is also a great party town with many pubs, clubs and restaurants providing something for everyone once a day's skiing is over.

The Ischgl resort
A wild and trendy party town but despite its wild side, it is also a very family-friendly car-free resort with free transport around town. The ski slopes are extensive and with guaranteed snow cover offering some of the best skiing in Austria. For the boarders – check out the Paradise Boardpark.

Après-ski in Ischgl
Ischgl is known as one of the resorts in Austria for après-ski, with numerous bars and clubs, The Tenne being one of the more poplar venues. Many skiers and boarders will be seen swigging the traditional glüwien, a deliciously warming mulled wine – and as it is served on all over the slopes in Austria you don’t even need to wait for après-ski!

There are many restaurants to choose from, with some excellent Austrian wines to sample. Dining is largely a casual affair, although if you are looking for a more up-market night out, head for Trofana or the restaurant at Hotel Elisabeth.
