Tor Bay has a growing reputation as ‘jet-ski-friendly' resort — but before going to sea within the 16 square miles of Tor Bay harbour, you must first register with the Harbour Authority. You should also note that under 18s are strictly prohibited from driving a personal watercraft here.

This club was formed in 2000 by jet skiers who liked to ski from Monkstone, Johnny’s Cove and Amroth beaches, and decided to get together. The instructors at the Monkstone Jet Ski and PWC Club can help people to get their Royal Yachting Association Personal Watercraft Proficiency Certificate, which is required before you can launch from many jet skiing sites. And if you join the club, you can also take part in coastal cruising, wakeboarding and water skiing.

Colwyn Jet Ski Club, Colwyn Bay, Wales
The Colwyn Jet Ski Club was formed in November 1996 and has an agreement with the local authorities which allows club members to gain preferential access to the Victoria Pier Slipway in Colwyn Bay. This also includes exclusive use by members on Sundays and Bank holidays up to 12 noon. There’s also an on-site RYA Training Centre, where instructors give PWC one-day courses to members throughout the year, and the club also offers a safe environment for family jet ski activities.

Mudeford Personal Watercraft Club, Mudeford Quay
This club is based on the south coast of England at Mudeford Quay in Christchurch Harbour and has around 40 members who meet every weekend throughout the year. If you go jet skiing here, you’ll get the chance to cruise along either the Hampshire or Dorset coastlines. Trafford Water sports Centre, Sale, Cheshire

To join the club, you must complete an RYA proficiency course — which you can take on-site — before you can become a full member. The club also welcomes power boat users.

  • jetskijersey 'The Jersey Sea Sport Centre is probably Europe’s largest Jet Ski Hire Centre with 8 three-seater waverunners, a sports model jet ski, and even a surf-jet motorized surfboard! A big plus factor for teenagers is that you can drive a waverunner from the age of 12 up and drive with passengers from the age of 16 up. The Centre is at La Haule slip, just by St.Aubin’s village , where the shallow, sheltered waters make it an ideal spot for all watersports activities, and this year they are celebrating their 26th season!
