I am petrified I won't lie. As a university student it is hard to sometimes find the time and energy to train for an event. I have been trying though! I have just bought myself some new running trainers as my last trainers were well and truly ready for the bin, so I am hoping this will help.

I just keep trying to add distance on to my run, I have one month left until the event so I really have to be strict now. My aim is to complete the 10km run which may not be much to most people but will be a real achievement for me.

Any advice, diet or training would be much appreciated? Thank you!!!

    • markinthepark 'A long time since you posted, hope the training is going ok. If you haven't already then you should do some of the parkrun 5k runs on Saturdays. Perhaps a longer run during the week. No need for any special nutrition for this really, just sensible eating which helps everyone. If you want to see a vid of last years race this one is good as I made it! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gkGgteojHyg ' added 27th Apr 2010
