Good morning Realbuzzers!
What a lovely day here in sunny Surrey - hope the weather holds for the weekend.
You guys make me chuckle - when I first mentioned the Gibbet Hill race you all recoiled in horror at the thought of running more than half a race uphill - but now that there is the possibility of booze at the top, you're jostling to get your entries in for next year - hee heeee!
I do feel it only fair to warn you that the anti-oxidants may not have been available to all runners, and that the vast majority of them were taking it much more seriously than I was!
Anyhoo, we weren't supposed to have a training session last night as most people would have been recovering from hard effort at the Gibbet. However, a gentle run around Bramshott Common was on offer and I decided to go for it. In the end I walked a fair bit of it - Patsy had the wobbles 
so I kept with her whilst the speedies... sped!
In the end I did 7.7k in just over an hour - so sloooooowww but at least I can console myself that walking is still training for me at the moment!
Got a busy weekend coming up - long run tomorrow followed by some spectating - going to watch Andy TFO run in Guildford - woo hoo!
Then on Sunday I'm going for one last walk before the big event - probably around 12 - 13 miles.
Apart from that it's just a never-ending list of logistical arrangements for Trailwalker - am starting to think that walking it will actually be the easy part!

TISM 'Maybe have to re-think the race plans then, if the facilites are not open to all runners...lol Take your camera to the meet tomorrow - you could get some good shots of Andy doing his swallow dive into the water-jump!! Can't begin to think of all the logistics for Trailwalker .. but I reckon you and the team have put in all the required training, and are going to have a great time!! Account_closed 'Good luck with the Trail walker challenge. The only thing that puts me off is the fundraising target, and the thought of having to find another 3 nutters from my small circle of friends (2) ...... However, I do have the Long Mynd Hike to do instead which is Local and only £18 to enter. It is in October though, so will be much tougher with the weather.' added 11th Jul 2009
