Feeling Happier, but have a sore blister.

Jan26201210:27 p.m.

I've noticed recently how I tend to be generally more happy more often since starting my training :) and things that annoy me don't tend to be bothering me as much, or for as long as they used to.  Which I think is due to the running.

So Running... So far this week 11miles :D  I did 3miles tonight on the treadmill at the gym, I didnt watch tv today, or listen to my own music, tried covering up the screen too which worked though my hoodie kept slipping down so I was constantly putting it back.  I managed to only walk once and that was to answer my phone as I'd had 2 missed calls from an unknown number so wanted to know who it was, I think it was someone from some uni or something (I have no idea), I couldnt hear a thing so told them to call me back later or leave a messaage... nothing yet, oh well.  So I managed my 3 miles it seemed to take forever, but I did it, and it only actually took just over 37 minutes, which isnt bad.  Afterwards we went for a swim and sauna which was nice.  Though I've noticed over this week that I've gained a nasty blister on my left foot, second smallest toe, its right on the top of my toe and it's very painful, thought that popping it would help releave the pressure and pain, worked slightly the first time, tried again tonight as it was killing, but not so much luck tonight still hurting unfortunately.

I have a planned 9mile run tomorrow as I'm working the weekend, so 4 laps of sefton park, am hoping I've recovered slightly as my body is feeling a bit tired and sore tonight, should have streched more after tonights run I think.

Hope you're training is going well and you're all injury and illness free, and on target, and if you are ill or injured I hope you get better soon :) best wishes, Avs x

  • Avs123 'aww sounds lovely think I might change my long runs around more, I was using my old book that I used last time, Non-runners marathon guide, though I added a mile to this weeks long run, the long runs dont drop down though, they only build up so think it would be nice to change it slightly :) Have updated my blog with the 9miler :D ' added 27th Jan 2012
