OMG 4 weeks till Snowdonia marathon

So it's only 4 weeks until the hilliest marathon ever and catwoman has lost all motivation to run - this is not a good sign!! This weeks been one of highs and lows. Some good news workwise but I've been super busy and had some big decisions to make so training has really taken a back seat. I also found out on Wednesday that that the guy who lives in the apartment on the ground floor in my building took his own life on Tuesday. It's so sad, he was only in his early 30s and I wish I'd have spoken to him more:(.

I did manage to get out for 7 miles in the pouring rain on Wednesday night with a couple of running buddies. They had to listen to me chat away about my latest thoughts for an hour - I'm sure James started running slower as he was getting a headache!!

Tomorrow I am going to redeem myself as I'm going on a tough run to the Malvern hills, across, and back - should be about 22 miles in total - yikes. I'm going with my mate Paul whose a superfit personal trainer - hmmm I'm starting to think this was not one of my better ideas!!

So on that note I best get some zzzzz.

    Night and happy running

    • Rob_Barber 'Its a journey of ups and downs this marathon training - keep the eyes on the prize though Cat - in Snowdonia (unless they've moved the start) you'll set out along the Llanberis Pass with spectacular mountains rising up sharply either side of the road, the valley you'll be in, all boulder strewn and rugged has such amazing character it looks like the last ice age only melted about a week ago. Beyond Pen-y-Pass you'll swing around into gorgeous rolling scenery, lush green hillsides and a teasing glimpse on your right of the spectacular Snowdon horseshoe. You'll have quirky little moments of interest in this marathon that you just don't find in others, the downhill back into Llanberis for the finish is always fun to watch on S4C, and that's another thing, you might just get on tele :-) ' added 30th Sep 2012

    • Scardoc 'I know where your coming from, with work upheaval and stress at home I haven't run in two weeks and am struggling to get back out there. My big aim for the year has now gone.... BUT ..... the changes mean I will have four days a week where I can definitely run and I may even join a running club. So, however bad it gets at the time, you know runnings coming back, it's only round the corner! ' added 1st Oct 2012
