About CHK Marathon Team Training
Okay everyone, this is my first try at this blogging stuff so here you go . . . .I began my journey towards running the Covenant Health Knoxville Marathon on Saturday, November 8 and what a week!! With the helpful advice and workout schedule from Missy, here is what I've done thus far:
Mon 11/10 - 1 1/2 mile on cross trainer @ home . . . . to work out the kinks
Tues 11/11 - Lots of stretches, 20 mins on treadmill, 10 mins on elliptical & abs workout @ FSHFC
Thurs 11/13 - 1 mile on track, 1 mile on treadmill @ FSHFC
Sat 11/15 - 1 mile on track, 1 mile on treadmill @ FSHFC
Sun 11/16 - Buddy's 5K Race and my time was 36 mins. My fastest time yet . . . walking those hills (as Missy suggested) was a very good idea. I definitely walked them faster than I could run them. Well, I hope to see everyone Saturday @ the Runner's Mkt for the KTC Training.
