Another 26 miles for the week, feeling better after last weeks Half Mara attempt, thank you for all your comments.  Looking around for another one to attempt during the summer.  Do have the GNR and the Bristol Half although I suspect they wont be PB material.  Need a smaller race where I can get into my stride fairly quickly.

One fly in the ointment, after last weeks HM - there was no official time for me on the results site.  Appears they had a blip with timing chip readers and about 500 runners either didnt get a registered start or finish time.  Bit disappointing but they have now taken my garmin time and also some photos my daughter took as proof of my finish time.

Todays long run (only 10 miles) was difficult.  One of those that you want to turn around and give up after 3 miles.  However, it was Easter Sunday and one of those chances to get out of the house for a couple of hours and enjoy the sunshine.  Did take my rain jacket as I thought I was going to get wet, in the end had to take it off - got really hot.

Still not fully recovered from the cold, seem to have an aftermarth of catarrh.  Mojo has gone down a bit, not enjoying my running at the moment.  Might take a few days off the running and do some cycling, swimming or perhaps the gym.  One of those temporary blips.  Also thinking about some new shoes, always cheers me up having some snazzy new shoes to try out.

Great reading all my friends now entering taper for either London or Brighton.  Some nerves kicking around for those doing London for the first time.  Have faith in your training and enjoy the day.  As a good friend said to me "pace it, dont race it".

Diet can start in a weeks time, after I have finished off the eggs.  Kids got some Thorntons ones and they dont like them - give them cadburys anytime!  Good old dad will mop up the ones left over.

    Happy Running All

This is the start of half term round here anyway so maybe a combine it with a short break in the Lakes afterwards. Well done last weeks' mileage.' added 10th Apr 2012

    • Dim 'Hiu Martin, I had the same problem with my chip at the Chester Half in 2010. It didn't register at start or finish but as it was the slowest half I'd ever done, it didn't particularly worry me. Both colleagues who I ran with were fine with their chips. Sorry to hear you're having to sort out the chocolate for the kids. It's a tough job I'm sure but it you stick at it I'm sure you'll get through it. ;-)' added 14th Apr 2012
