Life Begins by Dungey

I started running again in 2006 as I wanted to do the FLM 07 as part of my things to do when I am 40!  I didnt get in.

I last ran the FLM in 1994, when I thought I was pretty fit.  Also did some very respectable training times at Half Marathon too, far better than I am currently achieving.

Well, marriage, 3 kids and approx 3 stone have happened since then.  Needed some time out and to get fit, so I thought I would start running again.  So here we are.

2007 saw me run a 10k in Feb, Half Marathon in April, two further 10ks in October along with the Great South Run.  2008 saw me get a ballot place for the FLM and I completed it in 4:48.  Am sure I can do better.

My running in 2007, raised £4k split across the Royal United Hospital, Bath (Special Care Baby Unit) and Cancer Research.  2008 has seen a further £2k raised for Cancer Research.  Unfortunately this terrible illness has been in the family over the last few years.
