Life Begins by Dungey

Do love Christmas but for me its all done now.  Presents bought, all wrapped, cards sent ages ago, most food shopping done, just the fresh stuff left for an early run to the supermarket tomorrow.  Its now a sit back and wait, kids have broken up and are bored.

Panic will hit about Christmas Eve when I have forgotten to do something or when I start on the massive round of cooking things ready for the big day.  How I love this time of year.

Runningwise, I am still progressing following the shin splints and my physios plan.  Saw him on Monday for another treatment, had to admit to being a naughty boy and not being very dilligent on my exercises.  To get me back, he gave my itbs a good thrashing.  Got off the couch a bit wobbly legged.  Really sore on Tuesday!

Am hoping to get out for a run today and then do the local park run on Christmas Eve.  Apparently its fancy dress with spot prizes for the best outfit.  Not training for anything specific but am looking at races next year and what times I fancy targetting.

Will do a review of my running year another day, but surprised myself when looking back at what I had done.  I suppose I only saw the recent injury but I have cracked a couple of PBs this year, one that i didnt think I would be able to do.  Am hoping 2012 will be as successful but this time without the injury.
