A Friday Session!

My French teacher at school would from time to time stick on a DVD/ Film and said it was a great visual aid for teaching. Now I have grown up into a big foot and realised she actually put on a film when she was having a lazy day!

On that note I have collected some fun running and inspiring running videos from you tube! Enjoy!

Whilst I was "researching" on youtube I came across this great Mick Jagger interview at the 1976 Montreal Games. Very funny hearing a rock 'n' roll star being serious questions about athletics...

Did you know: Mick's dad, Joe Jagger, was a big Track fan so some of it must have rubbed off on him!

He has definitely been eating some dodgy brownies!
I loved his honesty when the reporter asked him to compare a rock stars performance on a stage to an athlete's-
"Most rock 'n' roller's just stand there stratching their beards getting stoned!"
Classic!

Hey Footnote, I have a question on PBs and timings.

In races where you start a way back from the start line, is it acceptable to start your watch from the point where you cross the start line? In a recent 5k it took me 20 seconds to push forward with the crowd of runners until I was at the start line & I didn't see why that 20 seconds should count.

And, controversially, in longer races such as half-marathons or marathons, if one needs to answer a "call of nature" is it acceptable to stop one's watch for the length of time it takes to answer the call? I know the clock didn't stop for Paula Radcliffe, but for us lesser mortals - what do you think?
