Tom Cruise to play Seb Coe in new film?

Feb1720101:51 p.m.

Hello and welcome to this week's world of the great and unusual news stories...

Coe and Ovett the Film!

Move over Rocky 1 – 5, we might have the ultimate sports film ever. It has been announced that a ‘Seb Coe v.s Steve Ovett’ will be made by the BBC in the coming year.  It will be based on Pat Butcher’s book ‘The Perfect Distance’  and will hit our screens before the London 2012 games. The only problem with this is that they are both too old to play the roles nowadays... We could not find one lookalike for Steve Cram... Help us!

At an indoor meet in Birmingham on 20th February the high jump competition will have a slight twist. They will be competing against BMX rider’s and inline skater’s producing different extreme jumps in an attempt to win the judges over: the crowd! I’m all for trying new things in this sport so I am actually excited to see how this turns out! The event will feature on the BBC for UK viewers on Saturday 20th February.
