I feel pretty bad. I've slacked a little when it's come to updating this blog. I know I posted at the start of the week with my achievement of the Bupa 10km, but before that it seems I've left out almost 2 weeks worth of entries.

I have been going to the gym and doing my physio exercises. I've found I'm getting used to my programme and I'm adding exercises that I was shown last time. I've also done a a couple of cardio sessions on the rowing machine as it's a great all round workout.

Last week I accidently missed my physio session. I was having to go into work early and got my days mixed up. Thankfully it was not a problem. It also made me realise something too - that I'm seeing my physio's too often.

After missing last week, I made it on the right day and time this week. He asked what I had been up to and I mentioned the 10km on Monday. He asked if I had any problems in which as becoming quite regular - I said No. He checked my lung for my calf and there was a marginal difference betweent the left and the right.

We went into the gym and started on my session. We done lots of calf raises - standing on a box and sitting down with a weight on my leg, hopping and me being tied to a harness and having to lunge forward as well as quick feet for a minute. He also got me to side step on to a bosu ball and with the leg that was straight using my arm to push into a swiss ball.

Seb thinks I've got the strength there, but lack power which I need for running and generally doing other activities. He said that a lot of the stuff by going into a bish pad or hitting the scrum machine would be great for me, but I pointed out that it's currently off season and that trainig wouldn't start earliest for another 6 weeks.

I've decided to cut down the number of sessions I have at my phsyio. I don't see any benefit by going every week. While I forgot to ask when will my rehab end, I've at least cancelled some of my appointments so that I now start going every other week. I do believe that I still have some work to do to get everything back working pretty much in order, but I need to be working on this in the gym by myself. Even in 2 weeks I feel there is a little improvement and hopefully this can be reflected or noticed by my physio's now that I'm going less often.

I'll be starting a new blog shortly specific to Berlin Marathon which any physio sessions from that will be included in this new blog.
