I've completed my first run - since the London Marathon

May1620109:45 p.m.

I didn't go to the gym as I was meant to yesterday to finish the other part of my programme.

I made up for it instead today, by going for a run and doing my full programme.

I jumped on the treadmill and ran for 30 minutes. For the first 15 minutes I ran at a speed of 9.5 and the rest at 10 with an incline of 2.0 throughout the whole thing. The speed I was going at for the first half felt comfortable and I was probably running quicker than the indicated speed as I was up by the bar at the front of the treadmill. When running at a speed of 10, again I didn't feel uncofortable and was still running at the front of the treadmill, the only difference I could feel was that on my running pattern I could tell by my feet landing I was bring my left leg across which is what my physio's are trying to correct. I tried to take a wider running pattern as well as trying to correct myself, but that was harder than I thought, in then end I just let my body do what it wanted.

I then went on to do my physio exercises. Like on Friday I done 2 sets of 15 lunges with my back foot on a box. I also done my calf raises in which I done 2 sets of 20. Both of these felt quite hard. I also spent a few minutes on the wobbleboard, but it almost felt like that didn't give me much of a challenge.

I followed all that up by doing all my stretching, core strength work and foam roller work on my programme. There was one exercise I didn't do, but I'll do that at home tomorrow.

The whole thing today was tough but as I was expecting my bad week to start, it turned out not too bad.
