Races this weekend
Dec07201012:54 p.m.
So parkrun in the snow on Saturday and then the Duck Pond Waddle on Sunday. Managed to splash and slide my way round both.Marginally more successful at Duck Pond - 5th woman - first prizegiving - very chuffed.
We ran parkrun the opposaite way round on saturday to be a bit safer with the remaining snow and ice. Actively told "no pb's and no racing" by the race director. Not sure how much that was heeded up the front but we had a great time slipping and sliding around at the back
Duck Pond was really good fun. First time I've done that sort of undulating Cross Country racing. Managed to stay on my feet but trail shoes might be a good investment if I'm going to do more.
Would definitely recommend this race. Small but very friendly field, excellent organisation. Worthing Striders definitely live up to their reputation as the friendly running club!
