The plus's of Spinning??
Nov12201011:19 a.m.
Have been contemplating the pros and cons of spinning this week.
As a determined non-class excercise person I nevertheless decided to give spinning a try as work organised it. Absolutely loved it (apart for the excess sweating - not used to this being indoors while excercising!) and have credited it and the speedwork for massive difference in my race times. However, after a particularly hard week (excercise and work) this week I'm wondering if its just a little too full on? One of the guys tells me its not true interval training as there's no period of recovery inbetween efforts, its just constant effort. So I'm wondering how it can be effective?
Either way its still fun and a great way to de-stress at lunchtime. Maybe I'll doubt its less when I've had a little more sleep......

klebe 'Hi Jo, I'm no expert but I'd have thought the hard effort would help massively with your aerobic fitness as it must be taking your heart rate way up. The classes at my old gym (I watched through the glass!) seemed to fluctuate between pedalling stupidly fast and sedate. (if they had done even more sedate I may have been tempted to sign up!) So I'd guess there is an element of interval training there.' added 12th Nov 2010
