That pretty much sums up the past week I've had. I don't and won't even report on it as it was lacking in mileage and I was in a funk I guess. Just was lazy to be honest. Now I feel real guilty, but can't change the past so I just need to move forward.
This weeks mileage is up to 40 and my long run this weekend will be 16 miles. Not sure if we will have the weather so that I can do it outside, or where I would run it so I gotta figure that out. I feel like I am improving in my pace but I am worried that I won't improve my marathon time. I just have a feeling I won't be able to keep that speed. I think maybe I need to sign up for a few more races prior to the marathon, even if they are small. Just for practice and whatnot. Not really much else to say. I did do a small race this past weekend, 4 miler and it was hilly so that was good practice but it left my shin very sore, to the point I couldn't run the next day. It still hurts today but I am determined to have a good week so I am gonna go to the gym in a few and get a run in. I can either do 4 or 8 tonight, I am just gonna go by how I feel.
If anyone has some words of wisdom or encouragement please share. Today marks week 7 out of 18, so kinda early to be losing steam. I think the gloomy windy weather isn't helping either.
