Happy New Year

Jan0320128:56 a.m.

Hey blink and Christmas is over and its a whole new year - Happy New Year everyone.

Week before Christmas was a wash out training wise. No big deal but work was horrendous and after a few weeks of quiet 2012 looks equally challenging. We are selling half the company which is about a shard a sit gets as its easier to sell whole thing - but no we have to split it in two! Should keep me busy for six months. Christmas itself was good.

Got out on Boxing Day for a gentle 16 mile run to blow away the cobwebs then a couple of days later for a 20 miler - just trying to run steadily a sthe key for this years challenges will be slow and steady. Sunday saw just 10 miles with heart rate down in the 130's as had a race on Monday.

Yesterday saw the Winter Enigma. One of a series of smallish races put on in Milton Keynes. Lots of familiar faces at the start (only about 55 people in total) and a real friendly feel if somewhat cold. Ran round with Sean (the running man). Wind picke dup longer race went on and in places it was blazing sunshine but bitterly cold - real finger tingling stuff. Good to catch up and we ran at a reasonably steady pace around 8:10-8:20 minute miles to finih the first marathon of many for both of us this year in equal 7th place and 3:37:14.

Will try and be a more active blogger this year but life, running and work has thishabbit of getting in the way.

Hope all is well in your new year worlds

Happy New Year
