The wonderful aroma of ralgex
Mar0920109:17 p.m.
yes this is my new signature perfume, ralgex ralgex and more ralgex. i am making my office stink of it!! :) sorry guys!!
on the good side, it seems to be having the desired effect. Cornish pasty foot has reduced in size and is looking less pasty like and more foot like.
yesterday showed the cornish pasty foot in full pastiness and painfulness so the gym was skipped for a walk around the field with Eric and a mammoth ice session - am learning to listen to my body now and not just force it on regardless.
Having a few issues getting a physio appointment as my physio has gone on paternity leave this week (how rude of him to have a child when i need him!! :D ) and the other physio is snowed under picking up all of Normans work. so am currently on the list for a cancellation - fingers crossed.
In the meantime I have been massaging and doing all of my exercises, icing, taking ibuprofen and ensuring i walk correctly and it does feel slightly better.
So i decided to go to the gym and give te exercise bikes a go. managed 26.10k on te hill setting in 45 minutes and unusually found it boring as hell. all this running outside has made me less enthusiastic for the gym :(
so unenthusiastic that i decided to go home to tackle my core exercises rather than battle with the gym monkeys for space (the fitball area is surrounded by mirrors and they all stand around looking at themselves).
had to relocate to the bedroom for core exercises due to erics inability to leave me alone whilst i do them!! but i got quite a few sets of various exercises in and im sure i will feel it tomorrow.
Am now making chocolate cakes for alexs lunches this week although im struggling to keep my eyes open. am in desperate need of a few days off. every day off iv had since october has been spent running around like a blue arsed fly and i need a proper break!
it's pretty much non-stop now til te marathon with dentist, vet, physio, doctors appointments, hen do's, uni work, work, training, birthdays, easter as well as all the boring day to day house stuff i ave to squeeze in. am feeling a bit like iv taken too much on, but theres nothing i can do about it now except grit my teeth and get on with it.
hopefully can drag my lazy ass out of bed tomorrow morning for a swim :D
k xx

squa25 'you're doing great so far and we're nearly there now! Just a few more weeks. You should use Eric in your strength and core workout. You can lift him like a weight and have him sit on you whilst you do your sit ups...lol :o) Glad to hear the feet look like feet again. :o) ' added 9th Mar 2010

Firefly123 'Tee Hee! I know that perfume well - use it quite often myself. Well done with that bike session at the gym and the core exercises - I have a similar problem in that one of my cats won't leave me alone - not good if you're trying to hold a plank when the cat comes and sits underneath you!! You do sound a bit bogged down at the moment, but you fit so much into your life - frankly, it leaves me breathless! Try to take it easy though and factor in some time for yourself x' added 9th Mar 2010

ChrisBrad 'You'll never change missy and "lazy arse" is the last thing you could describe yourself as - sounds like you're going great guns and oooh I quite like the smell of ralgex, although when I first started jogging back in the errrr 80's (very late 80's i hasten to add!!) it was wintergreen as we had the luxurious surroundings of the away players changing room at Swinton RL club (rugby league not running lovers club).' added 9th Mar 2010

As the Vets is only a few doors along from the dentist,I almost went to the wrong place for my appointment lol. You are doing brilliant with your training :) keep it up!!! Loving what squa25 said about using Eric in your strength and core training!' added 9th Mar 2010

simonedumergue 'Well you have my permission to let the housework slide when you have all of that on your plate. Well - that seems to be my strategy when I get too busy. Might be why the ironing took me an hour and a half last night cos' I have been neglecting my housewifely duties - lol! I am pleased to hear the foot has diminished from pasty to sausage roll proportions. You are very wise not to run on it at the moment. Please please be sensible. And I have my fingers crossed that you get a cancellation at the physio. Funny isn't it - until two years ago I was an absolute gym bunny - couldn't get enough of it. Now that I am into running I find the gym so boring. But having said that - I have lost all tone in my upper body - there are some definite benefits to weight training! Have a good rest of the week and can I please have a slice of chocolate cake for my cup of tea this morning :-)' added 10th Mar 2010

glen_b 'If any of you women want me to have a word with your husbands, I do most of our housework, especially the ironing. I have found that an ironing board in front of the TV with football on results in wife not moaning that the football is on. Easy peasy.' added 10th Mar 2010
