Black Monday?

Unproductive day? Feeling like you achieved nothing? If you are answering a big fat yes to these questions, the prediction that today is likely to be the most unproductive of the year is, indeed, correct.

Yes, as we have truly kissed goodbye light nights here in the UK with the clock change at the weekend, this (apparently) will signify a 50% loss of working productivity today. And that's if you actually decided to go in, as the same research estimates 8% of us will avoid work altogether and chuck a sickie.
Can't say it's really noticeable here at realbuzz HQ, in fact it's been a pretty damn productive one with the launch of a new Editor's blog; by realbuzz.com's founder Tim Rogers and other ongoing work here, the whole team seems significantly perky. And Dan is smelling much better too.
I think it might be the source of the research; the stats emerged in a study of 2,000 workers by Promotur, the Canary Island tourism board. Now this can't be the best place to spend your day if you are pining for daylight and sunshine can it?
So, how have you found 'Black Monday' full and fruitful or empty and endless?

Johnf 'I'm still on Friday's getting on your wick, they haven't changed! But no sickies in the office today so at least I have a full house. Will check sales figures later with a fine comb to see how black its been today!' added 26th Oct 2009
