Colonics are crap? The most useless celebrity-inspired therapies

Colonics, cupping and food intolerance tests....good for your health?
Health therapies made famous by celebrities such as Gwyneth Paltrow, Geri Haliwell, Madonna and many other star spangle- celebs are being the read the riot act by GPs as they have 'no benefit to health' and, in some cases, they can actually be detrimental. So much so, practitioners have compiled their top 10 of the most useless celebrity-inspired therapy fads...

1. Cupping
2. Colonic irrigation
3. Food intolerance testing
4. Detoxing
5. Macrobiotic diets
6. Aromatherapy
7. Reflexology
8. Vitamin B12 injections
9. Extreme yoga
10. Overnight health farm stays
Now, some on the list I tend to agree with, but reflexology and aromatherapy - surely the benefits of these treatments have been well established?
I've only dabbled with a few; I tried food elimination in the aim to work out which foods made me feel fat as a football after eating, also had a go at detoxing - slightly, well not the full-on hot water and lemon juice approach, more cutting alcohol and coffee, which, I must admit only lasts for a couple of hours days at the most.
Although I have been curious about colonic irrigation ever since that scene in LA story, maybe if I had one I'd be as bouncy as SanDeE* (big S, small a, small n, big D, small e, big E) - or Sarah Jessica Parker for those that have not seen it.
I am just kind of nervous about what they might find, and I am sure I'd booked a session in the days leading up to it I'd chew everything 35 times for fear of whole-food embarrassment.
It would definitely be a case of 'clean up before the cleaner gets here'.
PS I don't have a cleaner but would love one for Christmas.
