The AcneApp

I am a girl that likes to get a bargain, to get the most out of a deal, so for me anything that has a dual purpose gets a big fat thumbs up from me.

Yeah, I love a gadget that has two (or more for that matter) purposes, and when the functions are really randomly different, complete flipsides, the comedy value for me just soars.

I guess it's a bit like the magic pants thing, as well as being, well, a pair of pants; they also have a secondary amazing quality that will enhance your life in another way.

So, when I spotted a new iPhone application that promises to 'zap wrinkles and acne', while you chat on the phone, my little pixy ears pricked up.

Yup, we can thank Dr Greg Pearson for this little gem, his AcneApp claims to help kill bacteria and promote collagen growth by using, wait for it, it's pretty complex....blue and red light.

Okay....

But the good news is, it's cheap, I mean really cheap, it costs just (£1.19) $1.99, so it's beating a tube of Clearasil or tub of revitalift on economy.

But don't get your hopes up,  this little gizmo might not spell an end to acne or wrinkles,  Dr Pearson,  told the New York Times, that it is still very much in its testing phase  'This would have to go through a lot more clinical study before I could quantify its efficacy', Dr Pearson claims. Hold on Dr P; forgive me, might it be better to ensure that something works before you put it on sale? The last thing you want is a product recall hey?

Anyway, with all this chat of apps, I couldn't help but think of the perfect dual purpose gadget or item - what would yours be?  Mine would be a computer that emits positivity - perfect for Dan

I used to own an Iron which doubled up as a mirror, the iron had never been used (still hasn't) so the bottom was in pristine condition.
