2, 2 and 2

2 weeks since VLM

2 gentle runs done to test out the legs

2 new running events signed up for 10k in 2 weeks and a half marathon in october

I have .entered the ballot for next year but think it will be a miracle if I am lucky enough to get a place 2 years in a row. In my post marathon euphoria I managed to convince a colleague to sign up and train for a half marathon in October. She entered and couple of days later when I went to do it to my surprise and horror it was now full. Before confessing all to her I saw you can get charity places and have applied for one with London air ambulance. The fund raising target is £300 so not too ambitious as I am rubbish at sponsorship collection however I did fund raise for them with my marathon place and was amazed at what I managed to raise. So confession avoided and I am glad I have a new focus.

I think I need to re title my blog as I have re acquainted myself with the red wine in the 2 weeks post marathon. Also I have now seen the start line so will get thinking of new blog title.  I am also planning to do a 10 k next weekend which is a local event. I think I might need to get a post marathon physio check over as groin and back have been a bit achy so think my left side is out of line again.

I am pondering joining a local club but am not sure if I run fast enough......  Definitely want to try and get quicker to get round the half in a reasonable time.
