What an athlete! I mean, what?! An athlete???

It was good once I was out, which I always find hard to convince myself will be the case at the stage where I am still surgically attached to the duvet. I hirpled around the fields nearby, sending flocks of crows skywards in indignation. Even went past the wheat field waiting for the combine harvester or, as it is known around here just now, the pond. Poor farmers, they must be weeping in frustration.
Ran/walked for about 40 minutes or so, more running than walking but more walking than I would ideally like. I am not worrying about that too much though as the main motivation at the moment is to get some weight off and frankly the old heart rate doesn't have time to come down below the training zone in the walking breaks. Which I am sorry to say says more about how high my heart rate goes than how short my walking breaks are!
As I passed the corner shop on the way home a man came out with his paper and half dozen rolls. He had something on his head. On his forehead to be precise. Something.........silver? I didn't want to look at first in case it was a really unusual birthmark and I would just annoy him by staring but I couldn't help it. As he walked by, I peered. At the silver price label stuck to his forehead which appeared to be advertising him for sale at £19.99. "Cheap." I thought, and headed home for muesli.

tinabee 'Am loving the word 'hirpled' - just had to look it up to see what it meant!! Well done on getting up and getting out there. You can spend the rest of the day feeling good about yourself. The mind boggles as to how a price sticker has ended up on that bloke's forehead!' added 26th Aug 2008
