Edinburgh here we come!!

Oct0620088:13 p.m.

Well 06 October is day one of our tailor-made 34 week impossible is nothing Edinburgh marathon training plan.

Day one!  25 mins.  (The plan is a very gradual build up from scratch, rather than half-killing myself in 4 months - see 2008 posts for info!)

Well, as this was my first run since ermmmmmm April, it went well. Clearly I had lost all my fitness from FLM, but I felt it went well and dare I say......I enjoyed it?!

I'd forgotten  how good it feels to jump in the shower after a run in the cold.  Also sporting my new Wrightsocks and my new Montane featherweight all singing all dancing jacket.  Liking both so far.

Stats for tonight.

Cats avoided        2

Fish n chip shops run past reluctantly     1

Other runners     0

Music supplied by Tiesto.

Next run, Wednesday, back then.

I'm just trying to decide on a marathon to do next year.... think I'll be aiming a bit later in the year than Edinburgh though.' added 6th Oct 2008

  • Account_closed 'I had to admit I walked past a chip shop after Loch Ness, but I just couldn't face the thought of Chips and Chocolate (Already bought at the shop before the chippy). Hope Edinburgh goes well, my running club is thinking of doing a weekend away for this one, but I don't think I can face 2 marathons in a month (have one at the start of May).' added 7th Oct 2008
