  DISTANCE - Great South Run - 10 MILES

  TIME - 82:42 MINUTES

  PLACE - 2290

  I thought this was a brilliant, well organised event.

  Came in a couple of minutes outside of the time I wanted but in conditions such as that with the rain and wind coming accorss the channel it made it a little hard work.

  Found the course very comfortable but struggled to get started and find pace due to the crowding. (Thanks also must go to some bloke who was cutting in and out of runners who almost tripped me up!)

  Once I got into the clearing I was pretty happy most of the way round although had a niggle in my groin and hamstring of my left leg which worried me at 4 miles but this was because of standing around at the start line.

  To sum up happy with my run, time, position, t shirt, medal and the guy that was brave enough to run through the shower at 8 miles!!!!!!!!

  Well done everyone and especially to Mother Holohan who once again gave us a lesson in paced running  (1 hour 50) and poor bladder control, having to wee more times on Sunday than a dog in a lampost factory !
