Santa Run

Nov28201110:32 p.m.

It just shows how long it's been since i've been on Realbuzz because it's all changed! You'll have to forgive me i'm still trying to find my way around the site and although i've changed my email preference I still don't seem to be receiving emails. Oh well on to the training.

It's been a hectic weekend. My Mum's been over from France so there's been plenty of eating out and eating the wrong things. My mum headed back yesterday so I had a good days running planned although it wasn't to be. I had to pick my wife up from a night out on Saturday which turned out to be a heavy one. Off I went at 2am to get here.

Then I was up again at 5am to take my mum to the airport. Got back home had breakfast and then off to Lutterworth Santa fun Run which I did with clients and people that attend my boot camp.

It was brilliant atmosphere and although I was wearing my one size fits nobody Santa suit and ingested most of the beard on the way round I still managed to put in a 22 minute time on the 5.5k course. I was pretty pleased with that.

I did however fail to realise that the cheap Santa suit had split from the arse right around to the groin. Luckily forethought prevailed and I wore shorts underneath.

Once finished and waited for all my clients to finish I headed home went shopping and then crashed out waking up hours later. So I didn't make it out for my second run which was a little annoying.

Today was a running rest day although did a couple of miles with a client but this was only run walk. I also did a kettlebell workout and then because there was an odd number at the boot camp tonight I did that as well which I hadn't planned to do. So that was another hour of relay races of various descriptions (pulling tyres, wheel barrow, pushing speed sledges etc).

Needless to say I'm knackered now. 8 miler to do in the morning and then a 5k to do tomorrow evening but as long as i'm grinding out the miles all is good.

Sorry if you get fed up of hearing from me but I plan to blog quite regularly again to keep me motivated over the winter. It's going to be a tough one. Thanks for your comments.
