We did it!!!

Huge congratulations to each and every one of you for completing the GNR!
I have been at work all week but this is the first moment I have had to write a quick blog. I was so nervous at the start but I'm pleased to say I really enjoyed it and what an achievement! I, like many others, didn't know the first thing about running, let alone being able to run! The last 9 months have been tough, there have been many tears, blisters, aches, but what a blast I have had!
I've 'met' many amazing people on this site - you have all helped me and made me laugh and for that I will always be thankful.
I'm also thinking about entering next year but maybe with a few friends as well as I found the training very hard on my own.
I'll be reading all the blogs over lunch time, so till then its ta ra from me!
Take care and thank you so much
Natx

klebe 'Thanks for you really kind comments on my blog. Well done on finishing the GNR, like you I'd done no real running before (I thought running was what noses did!) but the last 6 months have been an inspiration and I've loved both writing and reading everybodies blogs. I have had so much support, it's been amazing and the memories of the day will last a lifetime ( or at least until next years event!!!) Take care of yourself.' added 6th Oct 2006

ryyy 'Hi Nat, sorry I haven't been on too much but saw your comment on my blog.... Well it's finally been and gone eh, came around pretty quick really and what an amazing day! I've already put myself down for next year, just waiting for ballot to open! :-) Glad you enjoyed it, it's hard when you're doing it on your own - I ran it alone, but was very much motivated by the crowd! Almost tempted to do the Cov half marathon in a couple of weeks! hehe! Ry' added 8th Oct 2006

Craig_Ward 'Hi Nat, I have finally updated my blog, it will explain the lack of input from me the last few weeks. But super well done for getting through the GNR, and glad to hear you are thinking of doing it again next year. I have already submitted for a place, not brave enough yet for the London Marathon... Thanks for all your comments and all the best for the future, and your running :o)' added 8th Oct 2006
