    OH FIDDLESTIX !!!!!

RIGHT thats it no more running for me till the GNR....
found out this morning that i have got a chest infection aswell as an allergy induced blocked nose?
really annoyed as i want to go out for a 10 miler this weekend but unless the tablets really kick in i wont be able to.......
i know that i can do the distance , that doesn't bother me. it's the fact that i still want to be able to run even though my breathing is a bit wheezeyhopefully the doctor reckons that if i lay off the running for the next couple of days i might be able to go for a run on sunday depending how i feel. if not it looks like last weeks half marathon was the last time i could run before the great north .........
as an asthmatic i think i will just see what happens , hopefully cause i caught it really early i will be fine for octoer...........
i wait with a rather baited and wheezey breath

    NEW PB FOR ME !!

Well i thought i'd do a half marathon before doing the great north run,
my self and a few club members and my friend (whose just found out shes pregnant) decided to do the mablethorpe festival of running where they do a 10k a half and a full marathon.
set of with my pregnant friend , who i said that i would run it with, after about 7 miles and slowing down for her to catch me up, i decided to run on as she had told me to aswell.
mile 10 started to feel rather sick..... i'm thinking its because i forgot to take some carb gels with me as the run only supplied water and no lucozade or anything else , mile 12 i feel as if i'm running backwards my legs have just not got anything left......
managed a new pb though !
    2 hours 32 mins 39 sec.......i'm happy
my friend finished in 2 hours 39 mins ....so shes happy !
just got some rather sore toe nails.....
    great north here i come.......

    feeling brill

    whopeeeeee!!!!!
just had the best run for a hell of a long time today.......feeling good !
me and a girlfriend from club just did 5 mile approx in about 45 mins..(everyone else had a club run tonight but we dont do that one )
ankle was a bit sore before starting off but as soon as i got into a pace it just seemed to flow!
felt really good as it was a lot quicker than i normally run on a thursday night .
either that or i run with people who are a lot slower and i just dont want to push myself.
hopefully a nice pace for a half on sunday will be on the cards but i said i would run this race with a friend and now that she's expecting, i feel like i shouldn't leave her to run it by herself....
but i'll let you know how i get on ,,,,on sunday......

    PREGNANT RUNNER !! MARK 2

well this morning was an interesting run, met up with a girlfriend that i have been running with for the past month as she is stepping up from a 1hr5min 10k to a half marathon, which is next week !!!!!
we have been very constant on our times running 8 miles in 1 hr 25 min for the last 3 weeks. we have been running the same course as when i was training for the 2006 GNR, when this time 2 years ago i found out that i was pregnant, !!! 3 weks before the GNR!!
this morning she tells me that she is pregnant, brilliant so pleased for her ! so we aimed to take a nice slow run today and stick to 8 miles and not the 10 we had planned, SLOW !! we ended up with the same time as the last 3 weeks , we only did 8 miles as my friends legs were a bit heavey and i really didnt want to push her....
so we will have to see how next week goes, gonna take it nice and steady.........

    1/2 INCH HAIL !!!

went for a nice run last night , there were 6 of us as we have a flasher in the local park where we run so we cant run alone through there.
after about 5 minutes of running a thunder storm started , we carried on, then the rain came, torrenta of it, but we carried on. then hail stones !!!
christ they were big ! and they hurt, but we carried on.
we only did about 3.5 miles as the lightening was forking !
we decided to cut it short. we were absolutly soaked...but it was fun......
we cut our training short because of the weather, but we would have done about 5 if the weather had been desent.
heres hoping thursday night is better......
