My last post ever............on this blog anyways

Good luck to friends old and new and all the very best to everyone running on Sunday, I hope you know how lucky you are! The many who didn't get in or like me are injured and deferred wish we were there with you!

Its time to start a fresh for me and after 374 posts, 3464 comments (the first by one Rachel Townend on 13/09/06) its time to stop posting here and transfer to my new blog "53 weeks in the making" blog, all set up for when the 2010 thread opens.

What do I hope for over the next few months? To run, walk or even crawl the 2010 London Marathon.

Maybe meet some bloggy pals again in the process?

    Lose 3 stone in weight

Run Reading next year? Maybe Run a Half in Blackpool and meet Judith?

Just being able to run without pain or limping around for several days afterwards would be nice!

Not rupturing my achilles tendon but maybe getting a new one for Christmas would be also be nice!

GOOD LUCK TO YOU ALL ON SUNDAY!!!!!!!!!!! and good bye blog, you have served me well.

Gutted, Runner 4439 won't be running..........

I still haven't got around to defering yet and it came back to haunt me big style on Friday. My registration pack arrived complete with red laces and registration form & running number.

The last race I ran was a marathon (sounds impressive)...10 months ago! I last ran out doors over 7 months ago........yet I was still absolutely gutted when the pack arrived! I could have been running the 2009 FLM, but I am not.

All your hard has been worth it, only 4 weeks to go, make sure you bloody enjoy!

The right achilles is still buggered and I feel like I have been!

    Fund Raising Idea?

Not a new one, but timely with Easter 4 weeks away?

Buy a fancy (Thorntons?) Easter egg for say £15-20 and sell "squares" £1 a go? Sell 100 squares for £75 - 80 profit?

Hope the training is going well?

Time to defer before I forget!

I am still around (a few insulting comments on a few of your blogs will confirm that) and I now have a blog now in the "Health & Fitness" section. A lot of tumble weed around that blog section and the odd, mad Geordie (Andaz).

Can anyone help me? I have my FLM 2009 acceptance form that came with the "your in" magazine but I cannot find the magazine. Would one of you kind bods have a look at the magazine and tell me if there is anything special I need to do with regards defering to next years FLM? (Other than just returning the form) All contributions much appreciated!

My chronic achilles problem has improved very slightly (I can walk about during the day without pain now) but running again is still months away at the end of a long dark tunnel............

I hope those long runs are getting longer? (are you listening Sharon and Suzanne) And hurting!!

    Stretch & Sauna

Thank you to Kevin for pointing out my Satan spelling mistake on my last blog, I think the rest of you just didn't bother because you know what my spelling is like?! Satan or Satin, the women was a she devil!

She Devil (aka Lesley my fizzio), also said yesterday that clearly I was not doing enough of the stretches she gave me (wrist duly slapped) and therefore I went to the gym this lunch despite not intending to and did thirty minutes of serious & various calf stretches before a 15 minute sauna and shower.

After the pummeling my calf got yesterday, it needed a good stretch out today and despite the achilles being quite sore, it does somehow does feel slightly better (Makes no sense I know!)

Feeling slightly (1 on scale of 10) optimistic that this treatment might have a chance. So the calf and achilles can expect hell from me this week. However, I am not capable of inflicting the same pain on myself that Lesley managed yesterday!
