The journey has started.

Like thousands of others I've enterred the ballot, after this year I just couldn't leave it alone. Those of you who read my Blog for 2010 will know I wasn't satisfied with my time, I've accepted that I can't do anything about 2010 now, but I'm determined to learn from the experience and take that with me for the journey to 2011.
Today was my first run since 25th, it would have been earlier but for a bout of ilness in the family. I wasn't really sure what distance I should aim for so I set off on a familiar jaunt, 6.75 miles in 59:56, started off feeling ok but my legs felt a bit heavy at about 5.5 but I was able to push on without any problems. Felt ok at the end, I'll probably do the same run on Thursday.
Did my entry for the Mersey Tunnel 10k last night, anyone who has ever driven through the Wallasy Tunnel will know how steep it is on the way out, still there a mile downhill to get some speed up.
So there we are, a new journey, new blog - ballot enterred, first run out of the way and next race enterred.
