Not running....just waiting for a telephone call

Mondays always start with good intentions. A new week, let's get the training plan going, that sort of thing.
Only I'm waiting for an electrician to call and I can't multi task running and waiting for the phone to ring (no mobile signal on my running route and no access to pen and paper either)
The breadmaker blew up yesterday, tripped the electrics and took down the washing machine and tumble drier with it. Lots of telephone calls later to the insurers and I'm going to be waiting in for electricians to come and assess the damage and see whether we can make a claim. After getting off the phone, I found an extended guarantee for the tumble drier, so now confused about what to do next and the insurance company is closed for the night...
...first electrician has now called - will be coming to check the sockets and circuit tomorrow. The other (to assess washing machine and tumble drier) I was told to expect in 24 to 48 hours. That's a lot of time not running and waiting for the phone to ring.
On the plus side - no washing machine means I can't use doing the laundry as an excuse for not running. The family have been told to keep clothes clean, to try not to sweat and use lots of deodorant as everybody has to hand wash their own bits until the washing machine gets fixed. I bet my daughter would rather buy new clothes rather than wash dirty ones by hand...
...Husband Paul (aka Ironman - as in sport, not as in laundry) is already stockpiling lots of sweaty stuff from his running, cycling and swimming. Of all of us, he is the most likely to run out of clean clothes to wear while I wait for the telephone to ring. Will he hand-wash his sports kit, or will he wear them again, all dirty and sweaty? I wonder...
