Swim & spin

...and the week's training begins.
Yesterday's rest day was glorious - I know I've said this before, but I really like going home on a Monday and staying on the sofa all night!
This morning I was up early and at the gym for half six for a swim. The main set being 3x125m + 20s rec, 2x175m + 30s rec, 3x 125m + 20s, with the total swim being 2400m. I've definitely got to watch my form on the longer episodes as it suffered after a while.
My left achilles is feeling a lot better since I changed my walking trainers. It's not the one I had all the trouble with last year so I'm not worried about it, but as a precaution I'm holding off running until the Friday session. So tonight, tomorrow and Thursday evenings all become spin sessions! With two more pre-work swims to come I'll definitely be getting my money's worth out of the gym this week!
