    Couple of easier runs

Friday night - have been out on two different runs and both were easier than previously. Went after work on a sunny afternoon which was a good test of my inablity to cope with the heat. Was hot but was able to keep cap on for the full run. Really pleased about that. At the end of the week was tired and was pleased with my performance. Had a few beers (4) to celebrate later that night.

Sunday night - again went out before dinner on a sunny / cloudy afternoon. Ran round the moss path which is woodland and wood path across a peat moss. A good run where I managed to run for 33 mins and then another 1 min at a much quicker pace. Was not hot - kept hat on and was not that red at the end. Hopefully this may mean I am able to deal with the heat slightly better.

Persuaded others in the family to enter the Race for Life at the beginning of June (5k)

    Wet and Windy run

Have just finished a 30min run on a wet and windy night. Covered a number of hills, not the best when running into the wind. Ipod music kept me going and the chill of the wind and the rain kept me cool.

Came in and had a bath which helped my leg muscles which were sore. Cool

Hopeful that next run is easier as well. Yoga on Thursday to help stretch muscles.

    First milestone achieved

Have finished two weeks of training to reach the first of my goals - 30 mins continuous running. Have taken a break from running for around 10 months and this is the beginning of a new attempt to run a Marathon.

Found the run not too bad because I started at a slower pace as I was running with my neice who has a slower pace than I do. Aiming to get to around the 10K mark in around 10 weeks and then build it up from there.

Was a windy night, but dry which was good.

Aiming to go out again tomorrow, to again run 30mins
