Coke, Dope, Crack or Sack? - the Dirty Dozen
I was saddened to hear that one of my all-time sporting heroes, Andre Agassi, has fessed up in his new autobiography to once using crystal meth, and then lying to the tennis authorities to avoid a ban.
But Andre's not the first sports star to have been tempted by a bit recreational drugs. Below are a host of sporting stars who have all, with the exception of one (doesn't take a genius to work out which one!) been banned from their sport after testing positve for drugs.
So without so much of a whiff of 'spliff' in the air or a line of 'charlie' on the pitch, it's time to play Coke, Dope, Crack or Sack? and see if you can name the dirty dozen sports stars, which of the drugs they used, and whether they were sacked in the light of the offence.

Johnf 'Botham, dope kept on playing I think. Bowyer was dope as a kid so played for years, Stam, was it steroids, think it was a short ban, Bosnich, cocaine I think, Chelsea go tshot of him and as he was rubbish I don't think played again, Maradona, too fat too much cocaine, ideal qualities to manage!! Hingis, gotta be cocaine, quit and became a bad dancer, Fallon, cocaine and gambling, isn't he banned except in Ireland? Is that Lewis Francis, something non steroid I think as he is still running. Mutu from Chelsea? Don't know the drug but where is he now? Andre of course, one up on most by taking highly addictive stuff, retired so a safe admission to push book sales along! Stevens, cocaine and as a rugby player in a sport trying to clean the whole job up, quite a long ban I think.' added 29th Oct 2009
