One for the trophy cabinet

I caught sight recently of the trophy that is awarded to the winner of the London Marathon and considered that at 4ft 9ins tall (the trophy, not me) would probably dwarf our very own Kirstie

So would it be one of the largest trophies around? A good search around on t'interweb discovered some obscure trophy given to Bulgarian side CSKA Sofia following a friendly international tournament in Morocco in 1967 which apparently weighs in at a hefty 100 kg (220 lbs). That's probably nearly two Kirsties.

There are such an unbelievably wide variety of trophies knocking around, so I've gathered together ten trophies to put your sporting trophy knowledge to the test. Take a look at these and see if you can guess the trophy and the tournament/event to which it relates.

And if anyone has a contender for the tallest or heaviest of sporting trophies around, then share it with us. I'm quite happy to be proved wrong by on of you sporting boffins (that's you John and Jamie)

And talking of Federer when he won his first Wimbledon didn't he win a cow? That must be the heaviest trophy!!' added 22nd Feb 2010
