Piss poor performance
"Ladies and gentlemen, play is suspended - someone has pissed on the court, so urine for a delay". That is the unlikely scenario played out at the Australian Open this week when an unfortunate young ball boy just had to go.
In the first round match between American Donald Young and Christophe Rochus, there was the embarrassing delay when the ballboy started peeing himself on court.
Usually rain, heat, darkness, injury (or even the occasional pigeon or bee at Wimbledon) can bring a delay in the tennis, but to that you can now add urine to the list.
You have to admire the kid for not leaving his post, but he sure ran off when the flood started gushing from his short shorts onto the court leaving a big trail as he fled.
The delay lasted around 40 minutes, as first they got the sawdust down, and then they tried to use the blower to dry the court, but not surprisingly it didn't bloody work. That poor kid, I bet everyone is taking the piss out of him now. Maybe all on court should be issued with piss pants to prevent more embarrassment.
As an aside, I though it would be piss poor if I couldn't mention a plug on behalf of Jamie B who asked me to help publicise some extra places that are available in the High Leigh in order to raise some funds for Haiti disaster relief.

Seeing as Jamie asked so nicely and gave me the legendary status I deserve, how could I refuse. I just hope I don't pee my shorts when running this event next month, having just taken stock of £140 worth of products from a well know sports drink maker.

jamieB 'Phew - I thought you was talking about my performance - Yes, that is the 7P's Wendy but you don't need it, you always do well. This race is special because of what it tries to achieve for people who don't have much but this year it is very important because of Haiti. There will be loads of people we know there so it will be a great event. If you know someone who wants to run a 10km in Feb, please tell them to do this one. If you raise cash up to £100, they will match it. I would be great to see the Founder, Kirstie or Sue there or anyone from the blogs and boards.
