Watch these getting their leg over
When I'm uninspired, ok well struggling for a good sports-related blog post, I always check out what my good friend Digg has to offer. You see there's nothing quite like seeing what people are 'digging' for me to latch upon.
My latest nosy found a sport that should be pushing for a place in the Olympics. It's a kind of circus-act-cum-indoor-cycling-performance in tandem (but not on a tandem) which will blow you away.
If synchronised swimming or rhythmic gymnastics has a place in modern Olympics then surely these cycling geniuses should too. And with Britain's success in cycling events, then hopefully this could spill over to even more, once we start taking this circus variety seriously.
I watch a hell of a lot of sport but I've never seen anything quite like this. Here a couple of clips from a couple of indoor cycling competitions to give you a taster of how good these cycling performers are and how bad their choice of music is.
So what skills would you need for such a sport other than balls of steel. I mean, one slip, and it could put you off for life. So who’s with me for pushing for this for inclusion in future Olympics?
