Is it Thursday Week 4 already?

Jan2420087:04 a.m.

Week 4 of 15 - the Sunday of that week being April 13th of course!!

So far, Monday because of other commitments meant no 'body conditioning'. But after Sunday's run I felt I needed a rest. Tuesday morning I didn't run the prescribed "2 miles" because frankly that's not worth putting running shoes on for, so in addition to my usual circuits "hour of torture" I went to the gym in the evening for another Body Balance class. Nice. Then, Wednesday I went to the lunchtime "body conditioning" class. I was going to attend the evening gym's "body conditioning" session but Z informed me that this included Orpington's "great unwashed" and given the recent overpopulation of classes by those people - who let's say just won't be attending the gym after the end of January - I decided instead to stay at home.

So it's Thursday morning and I can't really ignore the running profile so I completed a 6 mile jaunt starting 5:30am and taking 54 mins 21 seconds. We don't need a super-computer to say that's just over 9 minute mile pace. Splendid!  And on a relatively car-free route thanks to some careful route planning. The weather was very mild although there was a breezy onslaught in the more open areas. Gloves were off at 1 mile and I only wore a l/sleeve wicking top and tracksuit top for protection. (And l/trouser t/suit to protect my modesty, of couse!!)

Friday I am planning a gentle lunchtime run around the Serpentine and Saturday we're having the day off before the Canterbury Ten. Then we propell into Week 5 which looking ahead has 5 miles Tuesday, 5 miles Thursday, and inexplicably 5 miles Sunday. I may have to double check this but I suspect it's because the following Sunday is a 14-miler. Phew!

And on that bombshell, it's off to breakfast!!
