Well - not writing on this blog, that is for sure! However, I have continued to do whatever I can in preparation for the forthcoming labours of Hercules! And the time is drawing near..... was greatly moved today by my colleague Parveen sponsoring me to the tune of £50 - I was very moved by her generous support for the kids in Kathmandu and I know that it will go a long way there. So that was a good start to the day! Started to pack stuff for the trip - must remember some Deet as the mossies are a particularly tough breed out there - no doubt I will have to edure more ribbing about the smell of the Deet - I suspect it will be something like "don't like your new aftershave Steve" -I can see there point though -the last lot I applied would have flattened a Yeti at 20 paces -let alone a mossie. I also packed a fresh field book to record my altitude-impaired ramblings and regale you all with them when I get back -although might manage the odd entry from Kathmandu when the electricity is on - which isn't very often these days I am given to understand! I was starting to think in the past few days -would it feel very different this time? The last visit was so overwhelming at times on so many levels - anyway, I will soon know.
