Hello again funsters. Damn it’s still cold and damn it’s hard to find anything fun to do other than err have snowball fights, make snowmen and drink hot chocolate with marshmallows. But somehow, just for you, I have managed to drag myself out of this miserable maelstrom of tedium by finding new and inventive ways of keeping you all fit indoors.

To that end I launched myself headfirst into the Hannah Waterman Body Blitz over the weekend and boy do I feel blitzed. As I mentioned last week she looks a-mazing. Hannah has lost almost 3 stone since those unfortunate holiday snaps of her in a bikini, how shall I put it, hmmm not looking her best. In the DVD, she has also either had the mother of self-tans or an incredibly long holiday, because she now resembles the Greek Goddess of fitness...... From a size 16 to a 6. Now come on. That is quality.
The DVD, which I imagine will sell by the bucket load just because of the cover, is split into 3 workouts, plus a Belly Blitz and Cool Down. Each workout is around the half hour mark, so you can choose which you do, or do all three. And Hannah is keen to point out that she headed to Loughborough University to pick the minds of the nation’s top sports scientists, to see how to work out and lose weight effectively.

One of them, a man called Martin McDonald (no relation to Ronald I would venture to suggest), informs us solemnly that a 15-minute interval training session is the equivalent of an hour of slow aerobic activity like jogging. Blimey that was me sold in a heartbeat. Because my laboured running style would definitely fall in the slow aerobic category. So with a jaunty step and a doughnut in hand, I decided to start with Cardio Blitz.
Cardio Blitz
Hannah is flanked by her two trainers and they all give clear and easy instructions on exercises that are fairly simple, but do make you sweat. There are skips, lunges, hops, squats, press-ups and sprints (on the spot), but it does make you feel like it’s working. Truth be told I really enjoyed it and when it was over I whizzed on to the Belly Blitz and Cool Down section to finish off. That involved a lot of sit ups with low impact weights which were quite tough, I must be honest. But hey no pain, no doughnut. I haven’t attempted Box Blitz or Tone Blitz yet, but of course I will put myself through it for you my chums. Oh and there's also a diet plan as well. So really no excuse at all not to look like Hannah by the end of it.....
Overall I would definitely recommend it. I think I enjoyed it slightly more than Davina’s DVD (and I never thought I would say that). I really love doing exercise, that makes you feel like you;ve done exercise. So give it a go if you can. It’s only £12.99 on Amazon and the like. And it will make you feel better about all the Christmas leftovers you’re still scoffing, or is that just in our house? But never fear. I haven’t been lost to the world of running just yet. I am going to do a regular run with a friend of mine each week in a local park. You see, that’s me. Aerobically versatile......

Oh no....not another DVD with exercise. All of them have a tendency to be exactly the same. If you can't drag yourself to the gym, I don't believe you can find enough power to exercise at home.
BTW the guy on the hand right side of the video looks like he didn't get payed enough to do that. He doesn't look impressed at all.
