Can you cha cha cha?
So I've just had a sneak preview of the latest Chris Hollins routine for Strictly Come Dancing this weekend. He and the lovely Ola are dancing the Cha Cha Cha, although Mr Hollins is concerned he's lost a little of his Va Va Voom.
"Fatigue is definitely setting in," he admitted. "I feel like my head is full of the dances that I've learnt so far and that I need somehow to empty it."

But there didn't seem much sign of tiredness as Hollins gave me a speeded up version of his routine in the corner of the office. I almost volunteered to play Ola, but something told me not to kick a man when he was down.
Also I am wearing knee-length boots today with a substantial heel. The last thing he needs right now is a David Beckham moment, where he gets a broken metatarsal courtesy of Nellie the Elephant. However I digress. Twinkle toes looked like he was back to me, but the strain of trying to learn a new dance every week is certainly starting to show.
"I think I might have peaked in the first week," he chuckled afterwards. "I got 30 and then 26 for the first two dances, but since then I've gone downhill. I only got past 26 again last week for the first time since we started."
My friends I did my best to convince Hollo that he is a super little mover, but I fear my kind words fell on deaf ears. He is though promising a surprise this weekend. "My dancing is so rubbish right now, that we may have to resort to some kind of distraction technique. So put it this way, Ola is promising to wear something rather special...."
And with that the twinkle was definitely back in his eye as he bounced off to another 5-hour, yes count them, 5 hours of practice. Who said TV was all glamour????
Don't forget this week's show is an earlier start. Sat Oct 31st - 6.50pm BBC1 for a Halloween special - let's hope it's not a fright night for our Hollins.

Arctic 'So 'Ola is promising to wear something rather special', given the ever decreasing size of her outfits so far maybe that should read 'Ola's going to wear something, anything, that'll be special.' added 30th Oct 2009
