Mark's Cross Channel Swim by Swim

On June 21st I am attempting a once in a lifetime challenge to swim across the English Channel. I will start at Dover in England and hope to land somewhere between Calais and Boulogne in France. I will swim approximately 26 miles in cold sea across the busiest shipping lane in the world. This has been a life long ambition of mine ever since I met Mike Read (King of the Channel) when I was 10 years old. I work as a Paramedic and have had to fit all my training around my busy shifts since last July. I am proud to be raising money for such a worthwhile charity as East Anglia's Children's Hospices.
