One Dream!

We are Team Hocking!

Team Hocking consists of Rosie, Hannah, Sarah, Tom and Debs and on the 26th April 2009 we will be running the Flora London Marathon for the Parkinson's Disease Society.

Why are we doing this? Well our Dad has had Parkinson's Disease for 22 years. This is a progressive neurological disease and its effects mean that Dad now requires full time care. The Parkinson's Disease Society has provided our family with a lot of support and information over the years and so this is our way  of giving something back.

To follow our journey you can subscribe to this blog by clicking on the link to the right of this page and to help us raise £8500 please sponsor us at www.justgiving.com/teamhocking

Will we all make it to the start line.......

Sarah

The last few weeks haven’t exactly gone to plan…..we have all had colds and sickness bugs and now Tom has got a bad case of tonsillitis and is currently in hospital on a drip……. Not exactly the best start to running 26.2miles!

On a positive note, we have now reached and are exceeding our fundraising target! We currently have around £8800 for the Parkinsons Disease Society which is a really fantastic amount – I wonder if we could make it £10,000…….

Anyway, at the moment we are really hoping that we all get to the start line on Sunday - so please keep your fingers crossed that Tom recovers enough to be there.

Hi Sarah and co.

Goodness, that's terrible news about Tom - I really hope he's ok, marathon or no marathon. Well done on the fundraising though - you have done soooo well. Best of luck on Sunday - best of luck to Tom too - fingers crossed.....
