audiobooks my new companion

Jan3120128:13 p.m.

Started to get my mojo back with running as it seemed to slip after a few bad runs.

Started swimming on a Mondays which I find difficult at the beginning, I suppose just like running until you get warmed up.  Hoping this will help with my stamina!

Was advised to try and listen to audiobooks for a change and at first did not fancy it until I gave it a go and now I am hooked (unless I press shuffle by mistake!).  It does not help me run faster but on Sunday when I was running did not want to quite get home as it was up to a gripping bit!  Would suggest it to anyone now willing to give a go - just need a good book.

Ran 14 miles today in the BITTER cold and it even started to try and snow.  Had two people to keep me company today and motivated which I really need on my long runs.  I still cannot imagine running 20 miles never mind 26.2 but then again this time last year would have said I will never run 14 miles!

Hope the snow has not affected too many training plans  - it has not reached Wigan yet!
