Ok, the end of the first week of training and I completed 3 runs, each at least 30 minutes long. I think that I might have overdone it a little considering it's been 4 years since I've done any road running (meep-meep!) I've got sore shins (shin splints) so I've had two days of rest and they feel much better but I'm not sure whether to rest them for a bit longer. I'm also going to research training schedules and try to put together a structured plan certainly for the summer, if not now until the marathon next April! I am pleased overall with my fitness- better than expected!
