First 10k!
Apr2320119:54 a.m.
Decided yesterday that i wanted to try a 10k. I know it's early on in the training (3 weeks) but i wanted to get the miles under my belt as a real motivation to keep going.
The route is hilly which is good i suppose, means running on the flat seems easier.
I ran the whole way. No walking or stopping and even those hills and long drags couldn't stop me! We finished in 61 minutes which i am delighted with.

Had a cramp in my left calf at one point which was very painful, but so adverse effects this morning.
If i do a 10k once a week, i should be in fine form for the Great North 10k in July.

Back to basics.
I have really let myself go over the last 2 years. I was into running and signed up for some local races as an impetus and then i stopped. I don't really know...
